Susan Adams Loyd is President & General Manager at Clear Channel Outdoor -Minneapolis/St. Paul Division, the dominant provider of out-of-home advertising in the region with 1600 billboards throughout southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. These include poster panels, bulletins and digital displays which provide information services for local communities and premiere opportunities for advertisers.

Previously, Loyd was Principal at Beavers Pond Press, and also spent more than 30 years in television management at stations in Minnesota and Florida including four years at WCCO-TV as Vice President & General Manager and nine years at KARE 11 as Director of Programming. She has earned numerous industry and community service awards including a regional Emmy, the National Association Broadcasters Service to America award, and the University of Minnesota’s Notable Alumni Award.

Susan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree-Speech Communications from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Arts Degree-Speech Communications from Minnesota State University.

We are told networking is key to professional success and that we should “just do it.” Easier said than done. Three Cups of Coffee explores the practice of networking using the I.D.I. model for building social capital: Invite – Delight – Ignite

This interactive seminar explores why building social capital is imperative for your professional life and the difference between men and women’s networking practices. We will examine the different types of networks, identify what your current network looks like and gain a greater understanding of the barriers that keep you from making those necessary connections. Finally, we clarify the crucial skills required, including listening, asking powerful questions and authentically telling your story to convey key messages about who you are and where you are going.

WeMN enjoyed a work/life balance event where we learned practical ways to reduce stress and calm our bodies and minds. Using several different techniques including breathing and stretching, yoga instructor Jennifer Colletti guided this helpful and restorative class.
