About Us

Our History

Women Entrepreneurs of Minnesota (WeMN), was established on May 15, 2007, by Amalia Moreno-Damgaard and Cyndy Arey as an informal networking group for women entrepreneurs in the Twin Cities.

On October 27, 2007, the group was formalized and legalized as a non-profit 501(c)6 organization.

Since WeMN’s inception, the WeMN Board has grown and programming has expanded to include networking and educational events, Peer Mentoring Program and biennial conference.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide personal and professional growth opportunities for entrepreneurial women leaders in the Twin Cities through education, mentoring, peer advisory, and collaborative networking.

Company Description:

Move Your Mountain is a corporate consulting business designed to partner with leaders and the tools they most need for ever-changing workforce challenges.

How long have you been in business?

2 years.

What do you do?

I help leaders improve turnover and disengagement by meeting the needs of today’s radically changing workforce expectations

– replacing standardized methods of training

– smashing apart employee goal setting

– and understanding the deeper reasons their team is detached.

Who do you serve?

Corporate managers and leaders struggling with turnover and employee disengagement.

What’s one tip or piece of wisdom you’d share with new women entrepreneurs?

Make sure you don’t confuse temporary defeat with permanent failure.  It’s only true failure if you quit.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

Being an entrepreneur means you’re your own boss, but you’re also your own support. Spend time networking with the intention of finding (and giving) support, not just to find clients.
